The GEMS Parent Teacher Organization plays a very active role in our children’s school life. The PTO is a non-profit organization whose primary purpose is to enrich the welfare of all our children at Garlough Environmental Magnet School. Membership is open to all parents and teachers.

Summer Playground Playdates
Please join us this summer for Garlough family fun play dates!
Join us on the Garlough playground between 4:30 and 6:30 for some fun with friends. Families are welcome to bring a picnic dinner to the event.

Meet & Greet
The back to school Meet & Greet is a chance for families to talk with their teachers and get questions answered by school staff. Stop by the PTO table to pay the school supply fee, sponsor a Garlough pet, and pick-up flyers for upcoming events.

Countless Volunteer Hours
One of the greatest assets to Garlough is the people power of the PTO. Volunteers donating their time to facilitate all the great work happening during the school day and the numerous special events throughout the school calendar,
Curriculum-Enhancing Experiences
Helping make possible enriching field trips, classroom pet sponsorship, school assemblies on important issues, and the iNature magnet program are some of the ways the PTO contributes to Garlough.
School-wide Funding
Addressing student equity issues by donating school supplies, providing parent education, and fostering community through fun events and activities for students and families. The PTO continues to grow and nuturing learning at Garlough.
