There are so many ways to get involved with the Garlough PTO. Whether it’s through giving your time, a talent your have, or a financial gifts. We want our children to feel supported by the greater Garlough community through all of our different avenues. Please take the time to consider how you might be able to help and please reach out to us with your own ideas as well.

PTO meetings are held once every month and are open to all Garlough parents, guardians, and staff. Please mark these dates on your calendar and come join us! Meetings typically last about 90 minutes and are held in the Garlough Library. Childcare is provided.

Volunteer Opportunities
There are so many ways to get involved with the PTO and Garlough. Below are just some of the opportunities that come up in a school year. Fill out our volunteer form to let us know what you might be interested in helping with.
Book Fair
Setting up, taking down, or ringing up kids who are excited to read. Take your pick.
Conference Greeter
Help families find their way around Garlough, answer questions, and sell Garlough spirit wear.
Family Fun Nights
Help families find their way around Garlough, organize the cafeteria food, monitor activities in the gym.
Community Garden
Come enjoy the outdoors and learn about growing and gardening. Learn more
Hoot Hike
Garlough’s biggest fundraiser of the year needs volunteers for different stations throughout the school grounds.
Library
Help keep Garlough’s library organized by checking in and shelving books.
Music Concert
Take a turn selling concessions while you’re waiting for your students turn to sing.
Picture Day
Keep things running smoothly and students smiling bright for their turn in the flash bulbs.
Plant Sale
A popular spring time event in the community. Help organize plants and help patrons find what they’re looking for and checkout.
Yearbook
Help create and preserve all the great Garlough memories that happen in a year by signing up to assist in creating this great keepsake.
Summer Playdates
Organize fun gatherings for the GEMS community to stay connected over the summer months.
Track & Field Day
Organize events students to have some active fun as the end of the school year draws near.
